Listen and understand
Community priorities and locally relevant evidence help define the issue before activities are designed.
Community voices, local institutions and evidence connect MCHF’s approach to equitable health across Sierra Leone.

MCHF’s strategy brings programmes together rather than treating them as isolated projects. Locally relevant evidence informs delivery, while communities participate in identifying priorities and designing practical solutions.
In Sierra Leone, programme planning considers community health workers, peripheral health units, hospitals and district health teams together. Local partnerships create opportunities for shared learning, better coordination and responsible growth.
Targets grow with confirmed resources, baseline evidence, community needs and implementation partnerships.
Our implementation frameworkMCHF’s integrated approach links community priorities with evidence, design, implementation and review. Learning remains part of the work throughout the cycle.

Community priorities and locally relevant evidence help define the issue before activities are designed.
Programme design brings together community engagement, facility linkages and institutional partnerships appropriate to the issue.
Monitoring and evaluation inform learning. Adaptation uses that learning to refine activities and the next planning cycle.
